Naples, Italy United Vision ry participated in the Erasmus+ training course “Youth4Democracy: #Act4Climate”, bringing together youth workers and trainers from across Europe to address two urgent global priorities — democratic participation and climate action.
The week-long program, held in Naples, Italy, offered participants an opportunity to explore how EU values, sustainability, and civic engagement intersect in youth work. Through a combination of interactive workshops, outdoor learning, and community-based activities, participants developed new methods to inspire young people to become active citizens and climate advocates in their own communities.
“This training reinforced the idea that democracy and sustainability go hand in hand,” said a representative from United Vision. “Empowering young people to take part in both is essential for building a fairer and greener Europe.”
The project emphasized inclusion by engaging youth workers who support rural and migrant-background communities, ensuring that environmental awareness and democratic participation reach diverse groups across Europe.
By taking part in Youth4Democracy: #Act4Climate, United Vision continues its mission to promote active citizenship, environmental responsibility, and intercultural understanding among young people in Finland and beyond.
